Part of what we want to do is have people act on the community level.  No single organization is going to be able to solve this problem but nationwide, community action will be a huge step in the right direction.  We want people to be part of the solution. If you want to get the word out or do something about the shelter dog problem…do it!  Here are the rules.  You must be:

Requirements

Be as creative as you like but please be professional and have fun.  Send in your story either as a video or narrative but tell us what you did in your school/community.  If you would like to fundraise…feel free.  We will tell your story and report your deeds on our website and who knows…there may be awards for your efforts!

We are based in Chicago and we are always looking for dedicated, local people to help out.  Please e-mail us at volunteer@dogsavingnetwork.org and we will be in touch.
We are currently building our “network” and we want to make sure that we have the proper foundation in place before we go national.  We wish to have a “coordinator” for each sate and we are currently accepting applications for the State Coordinator position.  Requirements for the State Coordinator position are as follows:

    • Highly organized, proficient with computers and able to dedicate about 10-15 hours a week to the position
    • A resident of the state for which you are applying
    • Willing to learn about training
    • Fundraising experience a plus
    • Please send a resume/cover letter to volunteer@dogsavingnetwork.org and we will schedule an interview

How you can truly help us is by telling everyone you know about what we are trying to do.  We are just starting, but we have a solid plan and we wish to share it with as many people as possible.  Please keep checking back as more positions will open as we grow.
