Drop in a coin, press a letter and a number, and the whole room changes colour. This little diner jukebox is really just a web page wearing a chrome jacket — every glowing button below is an ordinary link.
Song Selection
Each button is a link, exactly like any other link on the web. Hover over one to watch it light up, then click it and the record on the left would start to spin.
Tonight's Specials
- $6 Two eggs, toast and bottomless coffee
- $3 A cherry cola float in a cold glass
- $4 One slice of pie, warmed, with cream
How To Use This Template
Open index.html in Notepad and type over any of the words — the song names, the specials, the little notes about you. The colours, chrome shine and glowing buttons all live in style.css, which sits right beside it. Short comments in that file point to each section.
The song buttons are simple <a> links. To
send one somewhere else, change its href="#" to a
real address. Save the file, refresh your browser, and the
jukebox updates. That is the whole workflow.
