A crisp place to hang six photographs side by side. Each one gets a title and a single line of caption, so the pictures do the talking and the words stay out of the way.
How to use this template: open index.html in Notepad and type over any title or caption. Open style.css to change the colours and the three-column layout. Save, then refresh your browser — that is the whole workflow.
The Collection
The Long Pier
Low tide, first light on the water.
Coastal Pines
Wind-shaped trees along the ridge.
Blue Hour
The town exhales before dark.
Open Field
A single track through the wheat.
Quiet Harbour
Boats asleep in the morning fog.
Red Roofs
Warm colour against a cool sky.
A Few Notes
- Three columns come from one line of CSS:
grid-template-columns: repeat(3, 1fr)on the gallery. - Captions use a
<figure>and a<figcaption>, which keeps a photo and its words together as a pair. - Small screens are handled at the bottom of
style.css, where the grid drops to two columns and then to one.
