Camp Notes

Days in the woods, written down before the fire goes out.

Some things are worth writing down while the coffee is still hot — where the water is, how far the ridge went, and who was sitting around the fire when the lantern finally gave out. This page is a place for all of it.

How to use this template

Open index.html in Notepad and type over any of the words below. The colours, borders and spacing all live in style.css, which sits in the same folder and is split into short, labelled sections. Nothing here needs the internet, so it will work just as well from a USB stick in a tent.

From the Camp Stove

Simple food tastes better outdoors. A rough record of what worked.

Hikes Walked

Every walk is written down the same way: the name, then the honest numbers.

  1. Ridge Loop 6.4 km · about 2 hours · easy going
  2. Creek Falls 3.1 km · about 1 hour · good for a misty morning
  3. Pine Knob Summit 9.8 km · about 4 hours · steep near the top

Kept From the Trip

We did not talk much on the way up. The wind had the trees going, and that was enough company for one afternoon.
